The Sahel International Support Foundation recently launched a student empowerment project in Kuje, a rural community in Abuja, aimed at recognizing and rewarding students who have demonstrated exceptional diligence and academic excellence. This initiative acknowledges the significant efforts students invest in their studies despite challenges such as poor power supply and limited financial resources. With the generous support of our partners, Light-Be Global and The Little Light Africa, we were able to provide solar lamps and shoes to the top-performing students.
These rewards not only celebrate their academic achievements but also address some of the practical difficulties they face, such as the lack of reliable lighting for studying and the need for proper footwear. This project highlights our commitment to supporting education and improving the living conditions of students in underserved communities. By empowering these young scholars, we hope to inspire continued excellence and dedication to their education, ultimately fostering a brighter future for them and their community.
